Chamberlain Coffee, the brand conceived by YouTube star Emma Chamberlain, announced a new $7m funding round to assist in expanding its retail presence nationwide and developing its Ready-To-Drink (RTD) cold brew lattes.

Since its launch, the brand has been extending its product range to meet the evolving tastes of its Gen Z and younger millennial customer base. Notable offerings include flavored coffees and teas, and their most recent addition, a selection of RTD beverages. This fresh funding will further the brand’s strides in the RTD market and propel its reach in retail spaces.

Following a successful Series A fundraise in August 2022, Chamberlain Coffee has continued to make inroads in the coffee market with unique, high-quality offerings. Christopher Gallant, Chamberlain Coffee CEO, highlighted the role of innovation in their strategy, stating, “This fundraise will allow us to continue creating new products and grow our brand awareness.”

The funding round witnessed participation from existing investors Blazar Capital, Emma Chamberlain, and United Talent Agency. They were joined by newcomers like growth equity firm Volition Capital, Electric Feel Ventures, beverage accelerator LA Libations, and Noah Bremen, the founder of PLTFRM.

“Creating a uniquely inviting coffee brand has been my dream for so long now, and having key investors back us allows us to build Chamberlain Coffee in ways that feel fresh and exciting,” said Emma Chamberlain, founder and investor of Chamberlain Coffee.

Chamberlain Coffee, first introduced in 2019, and then relaunched with a team in 2020, stands out by offering a premium coffee option, minus the typical solemnity associated with high-end coffee. CEO Chris Gallant explained that the brand’s appeal lies in its approachability and commitment to quality, taste, and experience, without compromising on fun. The brand notably features vivid colours and playful cartoon characters in its packaging, providing a fresh twist to the coffee aisle.

In addition to traditional coffee offerings, Chamberlain Coffee also includes a cold brew line, aligning with the coffee consumption habits of 90% of their customers. The company also launched a range of ready-to-drink beverages, exclusively available at Walmart, while their bagged coffee and single-serve pouches have been available at select Sprouts for the past year.

With the fresh funding, Chamberlain Coffee aims to expand into more retailers, reaching a larger consumer base and tapping into additional usage occasions.
