San Diego-based Nostalgia Coffee Roasters’ CEO and founder, Taylor Fields, has been honored with a spot on Inc.’s prestigious 2023 Female Founders list. This annual list celebrates 200 inspiring women entrepreneurs who are making a significant impact across various industries.

Fields’ Nostalgia Coffee Roasters, an LGBTQ-proud company, is committed to equity, sustainability, diversity, and inclusion within the coffee industry. “As a gay-female founder, fighting for equity is deeply personal, so this recognition truly means a lot,” said Fields.

The Inc. Female Founders list features women leading innovative organizations that address the world’s most pressing challenges. Past honorees have included Jessica Alba, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rihanna, Shonda Rhimes, Cameron Diaz, Stacey Abrams, and Serena Williams.

Fields’ Nostalgia Coffee Roasters sources over 50% of its coffee from women-owned farms and reinvests 5% of its revenue back into producers’ facilities and wages. The company also focuses on sustainability, using 60% less fuel in the roasting process and implementing climate-smart and rainforest alliance best practices on partner farms.

After starting as a mobile café in 2018, Nostalgia pivoted to coffee roasting during the COVID-19 pandemic, earning accolades including the No. 15 Coffee of the Year Award from Coffee Review and gold at the Golden Bean roasting competition.

Under Fields’ leadership, Nostalgia Coffee Roasters has become an example of innovation and progress in the coffee industry. With an Inc. 2023 Female Founder at the helm, the company continues to break boundaries and push for positive change.
